Wausau is the site of the annual Wisconsin Valley Fair, one of the oldest and largest agricultural fairs in Wisconsin. The fair is typically held in early August at Marathon Park, an eighty acre site that features exhibition buildings, a judging pavillion and a partially sheltered grandstand.

SkyFest 2012 will be a two day show and will feature a number of aerobatic performances, static aircraft displays with possible participation by the Canadian Armed Forces, trades fair, and airplane tours over the city and that is just for starters.
